**UPDATE:**

**TheLeeHarvey has made an ACU MARPAT Digital camo version of this armor that is top-notch. Check it out here:**

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9520d

UPDATE:

Neutral MultiEye file corrected to make metal portions match darker armor.

MULTI-EYE UPDATE:

New HiRes versions of the glowing eye textures for the Japanese Menace Multi-Eye incarnation of the helmet in the Default and Azure color schemes to match the Default and Azure suit texture sets. In order for these textures to be of any use to you, you must first have installed the Japanese Menace Mod found here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5962

His mod must be installed first and then my textures installed over his Chinese Stealth Suit textures. Further instructions can be found in the Read Me files included in the archives.

STEALTH HELMET UPDATE:

Added a green version of the retextured stealth helmet, as I forgot about it earlier. It has been added to the Stealth Helmet Retexture archive.

MINOR CHANGE:

Updated the glow map for the neutral version of the HiRes Multi-Eye Japanese Menace texture to match the intensity of the green version.

LAST UPDATE:

(Really this time!)

Three new archives are up. One new version of the armor with green highlight areas instead of the orange, blue and neutral.

And for the heck of it, HiRes versions of the glowing textures for the Japanese Menace Multi-Eye incarnation of the helmet in Green and Neutral.

No new screenshots, as I currently don't have the time to play the game. The green version of the armor shouldn't take alot of imagination, but I'd like to eventually get screenshots of the Multi-Eye Helmet. Anyone with good hi-res shots feel free to post for approval.

INFO UPDATE:

This mod is 100 percent compatible with the excellent Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit mod found here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5981

It is also compatible with the amazing Japanese Menace mod found here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5962

In the case of Japanese Menace, install his mod first and then overwrite his Stealth Suit textures with mine. The glowing eye textures are new files and will be left over when the standard Stealth Suit textures are overwritten.

FURTHER DISCLAIMER:

A texture modification is not capable of modifying the attributes of a set of armor. If Bethesda made the Stealth Suit Armor and Helemt connected, skins are not capable of changing that.

If you want a mod that detaches the Helmet from the Stealth Suit, follow the links below. I personally use the first:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3841

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3415

DISCLAIMER:

This mod requires the Operation Anchorage DLC. These skins are for an item obtained in the Questline obtained from that DLC. All other instructions are listed in the ReadMe file found in the downloaded archives.

FINAL UPDATE:

A couple of errors have been corrected:

1. The belt portion of the female armor had the hexagonal pattern added to it by mistake. This has been removed to match the male armor.

2. The glare of the hexagonal pattern has been slightly reduced for the darker version of the armor.

UPDATE:

Per request, I've created and added a darker version of the armor with a neutral colored visor and nodes. A darker version has also been added to the Stealth Helmet Retexture.

The bolts at the base of the skull have been darkened, though this is not reflected in the screenshots, as I didn't want to retake them for so minor a change.

For those asking about a camo version, a version is supposed to be in the works by this author:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5481

He had a couple of nice looking preview shots up before I updated my files. If he would like to add any more preview screens, he can feel free to do so. I was looking forward to seeing his finished product.

UPDATE:

All files, and versions, have been updated. The normal maps have had their alpha channels altered to reflect light in a hexagonal pattern across the padded areas. The idea was inspired by this author:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5481

The Azure version has been altered slightly in hue to more closely match the original Azure textures made popular by this author:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3462

The wiring now matches, in all versions, and is less reflective across the torso. The portion on top of the gloves has been corrected to fix an odd texture overlap with the glove normal map.

Finally, the degree of separation has been increased between the extra armor plate and visor on the Stealth Helmet Retexture conceived by this author:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5510

This will likely be the last update, unless anyone has any further requests for alternates.

----------------------------------------------

There are now three versions of the original mod. The original one, which tried to stay as close to the original Bethesda concept as possible. The original version remains, for the most part, unaltered. I doubled the size of the glove texture, tried to match the wiring and padding tones to one another, and added a specular map to the helmet texture to reduce glare.

The alternate versions include an "Azure" retexture for those partial to the blue version originally made popular here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3462

The second alternate was a request for a shinier version of the stealth armor, as I had given it more of a matte appearance in order to make it more stealthy.

Finally, I have worked with the author of this mod:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5510

And we've created a HiRes version of his helmet concept. A lower resolution version will be offered on his original download page, and a HiRes version will be available here in all three versions of my mod (default, blue, and shiny).

Be warned that the alternate helmet textures will replace the default helmet textures, so backup the originals if you are uncertain about using the alternates.

----------------------------------------------

I was always partial to the Chinese Stealth Armor, and decided to retexture it, having been spoiled by the HiRes Power Armor textures found here:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3191

It's now at 4096x4096, and highly detailed. I attempted to preserve the original artistic direction of the armor, while merely making it more detailed. I know some people prefer their items appear worn, but I find it illogical for an item found locked away in an inaccessible vault for hundreds of years to have too much wear. The metal and glass portions of the armor do show slight wear, but the rest of the armor is somewhat undistressed.

Performace wise, I don't see a hit, and I'm a bit bogged down by an old Core 2 Duo.

To anyone with a request, such as color changes, or possible alternate versions, feel free to make your request and I'll get to it as soon as I have the time.

Feel free to use these textures in your own mods as long as a request is made, permission is granted and credit is given. Thanks.

As a side note, and I know this is picky, if you add screenshots for the texture, please up your resolution and detail settings as high as you can before you take the screenshot.
