Description
===========
After the YK32 failed to get approval for military appropriation, Yuma Flats Energy Consortium revamped their pulse pistol weapon for a civilian market aiming for the purpose of home defense. The YK40 pulse pistol offers several advantages over the shotgun, its main competitor in the ballistic category: Less collateral damage to (non-electrical) accidental targets, more resilience against usage wear, and using a common battery cell size usable in a variety of other appliances (wheras a shotgun shell has but one intended purpose). Possible effects upon the target include momentary paralysis, involuntary evacuation of bowels and urinary bladder, and possible disintegration.

The YK40 was only beginning to be distributed nation-wide when World War III broke out.

Install
=======
Extract all files (besides this Readme) into your Fallout 3\Data folder. Enable the plugin.

Uninstall
=========
Disable the plugin. None of the materials can interfere elsewhere, so it can be abandoned in-place. If you want to reclaim the hard drive space it takes up, trace all the files by analyzing the file layout in the compressed archive you downloaded.


Incompatibility
===============
This mod may conflict with some other mods that alter the same loot lists that this mod does. To rectify this, it is strongly recommended to use list merging functionalities in the newer versions of ElminsterEU's FO3Edit.


History

1.0: Initial release
1.01: Fixed a normal map issue. Normal map is slightly improved as well.
1.02: Fixed the no-weight issue.
1.03: Corrected the direction of bumpiness on the business end.
1.04: Corrected an error introduced by the normal map correction. Also fixed incorrectly aligned tangent space data on the hand guard, and did some fine-tuning to the specular map. Also put a first-person texture set override on the E-Cell.
1.1: New fire sound effects, tweeked balance, proper implementation of loot lists, integration into certain Form Lists, improved projectile, and addition of functional prototype alpha of the YK55x Ballistic Pulse Rifle. No new mesh, just a placeholder Plasma Rifle. Available only via console to those who can figure it out. Still loads of fun to shoot.
