About this mod

Adds new rugged and worn looking races to the game.

Note from me:

Those who are interested in this mod or checked it probably see that I no longer watch over it - I ported it for a friend and only released it because he asked it. Thanks to the lack of interest, I check the comments rarely. I'm up for requests though - you can p.m. me then 'cause I always read and reply to my messages but rarely check my mods after a while.

TFH Rugged Race

This is a port of TheFourthHorse's Rugged Race mod from New Vegas.
You can find the original mod: here

Now NPCs are affected - choose one of the optional files

-= Update =-
1.3
As there seems to be some incompatibilities with lings.esm, I uploaded a new esm to solve this problem.
1.2
In the optionals you can find 3 new packages.
They both affect NPC around the Wasteland but one requires the Pitt, one is for Vanilla game and one is for those who only wants the NPCs but not the playable races (this one is Vanilla too). These are esm to make sure the NPCs skin matches their head colors.
Every package is full, use only one!
1.1
The second file uses The Pitt dlc as a masterfile as it makes the 4 races playable from there.
Choose only one of the two files.

-= Description =-

This mod gives 6 new, rugged looked races for each of the main vanilla races (caucasian, hispanic, asian and african-american).
I did not changed the presets but there can be some small differences from the original mod. I find the presets very different from each other so customization shouldn't be a trouble.

I included the textures from the main file in the package, so you dont need anything else for this to work.

Now some NPCs are affected too.

Please, feel free to upload pictures of your characters and if you find any issue with this mod, do tell me, I'll try to solve it. Thank you.

-= Compatibility =-

This mod uses vanilla assets for most body parts and only replaces the "headhuman" and "headhuman_n" texture files with TFH's textures.
Any mod that alters the vanilla assets in a way that makes the vanilla face textures unusable will not work with this mod. Which means Fallout 3 Redesigned probably wont work with it.
Lings.esm can cause some slight problems with hairs not showing up - check the download section for the esm-package.

-= Installation =-

Extract the mod contents into a folder of your choosing, place the "textures" folder and the mod esp into your data folder.
Then activate the esp with a mod manager of your choosing.

I also tried to make it compatible with NMM for the easier installation but I'm not sure if I did it right.
Anyone could give me a feedback, I'd appreciate it.

Also, I'm not sure if its needed but just in case you should toggle off/on your archive invalidation in FOMM/NMM or with a mod like:
ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated by Quarn

-= Uninstallation =-

Remove the 'TFH Rugged Race' .esp, the folders designated 'TFH Rugged' from the Data>Textures>Characters directory, and the 'TFH' textures in Data>Textures>Characters>Mouth and the Data>Textures>Characters>Eyes.
If you want to keep your character, change to a different race before uninstallation.

-= Credits =-

For TheFourthHorse for creating this amazing mod and its textures and for the permission to port it to Fallout 3.
Midhras for the idea :)
Bethesda for the resources and for the games of course.
