About this mod

Adds a Type 56 LMG (Chinese equivalent of RPD light machine gun) to the game.

Permissions and credits
This mod adds a Chinese Type 56 LMG to the game.

-Details-

This weapon was made because I wanted to have an effective mid to long range automatic weapon that can do some damage, a role which assault rifles cannot fill. Thus, I created this.
Type 56 LMG is a Chinese equivalent of a Russian RPD light machinegun, it has a high round capacity, decent stopping power and is relatively effective on longer ranges when fired in short bursts. It's a perfect weapon for use in large, open areas of the wasteland or give to your companion for fire support.
It uses vanilla .308 caliber ammo but there is an optional file that makes it use 7.62x39mm ammo from CALIBR. So, if you use the optional file, you need CALIBR. If not, you only need FO3.
It can be found on NPCs (Raiders, Slavers, Super Mutants, Talon mercs, etc.) and it can also be purchased from vendors that sell weapons.

-Requirements-

CALIBR 1.4: Only if the optional CALIBR file is used.

NOTE: If used, optional CALIBR version needs to be below the mod's main esp and you need to have both plugins activated.

-Stats-

It's based off a Chinese Assault Rifle and it's stats are somewhat similar so I'll compare the two. Also, since I use a lot of mods that add perks which change weapon damage, I will be providing stats from GECK since they are more precised.

Chinese Assault Rifle

-Rate of fire: 800 rounds per minute
-Damage per second: 44
-Damage per round: 11
-Rounds per magazine: 24
-Ammunition: 5.56mm rounds

Type 56 LMG

-Rate of fire: 650 rounds per minute
-Damage per second: 52
-Damage per round: 16
-Rounds per magazine: 100
-Ammunition: .308 caliber rounds/7.62x39mm rounds (CALIBR optional file)

-Durability-
Type 56 can fire a total of 832 rounds, equivalent of 8 reloads, from full condition, before breaking.

-Install-

Manual - Extract the archive, copy the files, paste them into your Fallout 3/Data folder and check the plugin in FO3 Launcher/FOMM/NMM (I recommend FOMM).

With FOMM - Open Package Manager, click Add FOMod, navigate to the archive, wait till it gets packed, activate in Package Manager.

With NMM - Download with NMM, activate.

-Uninstall-

Manual - Uncheck the plugin, delete mod's plugin/meshes/textures from Fallout 3/Data folder.

With FOMM - Deactivate in Package Manager.

With NMM - Deactivate.

-Merged Patch-

I always recommend making a merged patch with FO3 Edit to merge the Form/Leveled lists with those of other mods you're using (instructions on how to do that are down below)

How to make a Merged Patch:
1. Start FO3 Edit
2. Load your mods
3. When everything loads select all your mods, then right-click on the mod list and select Create Merged Patch
4. A small window will pop up asking you to name your patch, write something and click Create
5. Now when exiting FO3 Edit another window will pop up named Save Changed Files, click OK
6. When starting FOMM or FO3 Launcher put your patch LAST in the load order and check it
7. Enjoy the game

-Permissions-

The Type 56 LMG mesh and textures are modder's resources, that means you can do whatever you want with them.
