CAPITOL BUILDING
TSC Marines of the 4th and 5th Platoons of Bravo Company took the Hall of Columns after only an hour of fighting, as Talon forces and the Super Mutants had exhausted themselves and much of their ammunition. Though TSC forces lost Private Rohan Singh to a Talon sniper early on, the TSC was able to successfully attack the rear of the Talon's position, with Second Lieutenant Fawkes wounded providing covering fire for the team taking out the sniper. He continued maintaining fire even after Talon attempted a counterattack that killed another two Marines. The charge was only broken after Private First Class Valerie Cheung, recipient of the Expert Marksmanship Badge, picked up the anti-materiel rifle of the Talon sniper and shot the Talon captain leading the charge, causing Talon morale to collapse. Caught between the hammer and the anvil, they were slaughtered nearly to the last man. The last surviving Talon mercenary, a captain, insisted on fighting the last surviving Super Mutant, an Overlord, on his own. TSC Marines watched for three minutes as the two fought with thermic lance and Super Sledge before they slew each simultaneously, the Overlord impaled and the captain smashed over the head.
Four Marines were killed and another three wounded in the fighting. Two of the wounded could return to after biogel therapy but Lieutenant Fawkes required a stay in the Olympus medical bay after taking two .50 BMG rounds to the chest. All three received the Wound Badge. A dozen Marines required Rad-Away treatments due to the radiation leak from the Talon captain's punctured T-45d power armor. Private First Class Valerie Cheung was awarded a Badge of Honor for her part in causing the collapse of the Talon counteroffensive. Corporal Brett Lee was also awarded the Badge of Honor for delivering the killing shot against the sniper. As a sign of respect, the Talon captain who fought an Overlord single-handed was given an individual grave apart from the mass grave the other Talon mercenaries were buried in.

And good show for honoring the Talon captain.
