Decanus Varus cursed under his breath as he trekked through this accursed land with his contubernium, remembering how he got here in the first place. During their journey towards Hoover Dam, there suddenly came a light from the heavens, waking up to strange beings poking strange instruments into his rectum. He passed out soon after, coming to with the rest of his contubernium in an unfamiliar land. Only after they shook down a very frightened store owner did they learn they were on the other side of the continent. After slaughtering their way through various idiot tribals and mutated beings, they came close to a harbor where a ferry just docked. As they approached, they saw a stranger in unusual power armor with sparks flying out of it disembark. Varus, deciding his need to return to Caesar outweighed his dislike of advanced technology, attempted to enlist the stranger's aid, even if they had to shake him down. It was then that he saw him draw his Gauss rifle and take aim. His last thought as he motioned for his men to take cover was, "Crap."
